The blog's founder graduated from West Point in 2013 and upon graduating commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army. While at their first duty station in Fort Lewis, WA, they quickly decided they needed a creative outlet and wanted to start blogging. There was only one problem—they were deploying to Afghanistan in 4 months.

So, they packed all the blogging books they could find, from “Blogging 101” to “Blogging For Dummies,” and spent all their free time learning how to start a blog! Two months after redeploying home, the blog officially launched in February of 2015. They’ve been creating content ever since!

 

They left the Army in 2018 and went full-time into content creation. Their family recently renovated the husband’s childhood home and is excited to call Denver, Colorado, their new home.

 

When not creating content, they can usually be found baking with their daughter, Roman, playing with their three dogs, or relaxing at a local coffee shop. They love coffee, seasonally decorating their home, organizing, and cooking homemade meals.
